I'm new here

congregationPerhaps you've begun thinking about the big questions in life or you're just looking for a church in the area.  Whatever the reason, we hope you'll find a warm welcome with us.

If this is your first time in our church, here's what to expect:

ARRIVing

We have our own car park in front of the church so you should easily be able to find a space. There is also street parking available but bear in mind the village can get busy with visitors, especially in the summer months.  One of us will greet you at the door and give you a Bible (if you haven't brought one with you) and a hymnbook (although hymns are also shown on the screen).

format

There is no dress code, so come as you are.  There's also no reserved seating, so feel free to sit wherever you like.  A typical service lasts about an hour and includes singing, prayers, a Bible reading and a sermon.  We usually stand to sing and stay seated for everything else.  Join in if you know what we're singing, but don't worry if you don't.

Facilities

There are toilets just as you come in and baby-changing facilities are available.  There is also an induction loop system for those who are hard of hearing.  Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after both morning and evening services.

children

We don't have a formal creche, but if babies and toddlers get restless, parents are welcome to take them out to our Sunday School room where there are some toys and books.  Sunday School runs during the morning service for children aged 3 and over.  They usually stay in for the first half of the service and go out during the third hymn.  Parents are welcome to keep their children in for the whole service if they prefer.
