SUNDAY SERVICES

pulpit We meet every Sunday at 10.30am and 5pm and services are open to everyone.

In the morning, the children normally stay for the first half of the service - including a short talk especially for them - before the younger ones (of primary school age) go out to Sunday School.  Every other month on the first or second Sunday, we have a lunch after the morning service and everybody is welcome to stay.

The afternoon service can be shorter and more informal, perhaps with more singing and open prayer.  We currently include a short focus on countries in the world where it's particularly dangerous to be a Christian today and watch a short 3 minute video about that country.

Tea and coffee are served after both services. All are welcome to stay and get to know us a bit better.

PRAYER MEETING & BIBLE STUDY

This is held every Wednesday at 7.45pm, usually in the main church building, but once a month we meet in members' homes. Typically we study a Bible passage, or work our way through a thematic series (e.g., in the past we have looked at the marks of a healthy church; the five solas of the Reformation; and Life Explored).  Having recently finished working our way through the 1966 Baptist Confession of Faith, we have just begun looking at Jesus' "I tell you the truth" sayings in the gospels.

The second half of the evening we spend in prayer.  Once a month we focus specifically on mission and watch a short video and then pray for a particular aspect of the world church.  Sometimes, the Wednesday meeting is for church members only.  Please check the calendar for details.
